Since the morning after Election Day, we’ve received calls from clients wondering what they should do about their health insurance and how health insurance may change with a new president on the horizon.
The soundest advice we can offer at this time is to keep your health insurance if you have it, and continue to enroll as usual if you haven’t yet done so for the coming year. At this point in time, the Affordable Care Act is still in effect, which means that having health insurance is still a requirement. Because we do not know what changes will be made to the law or when any changes will occur, we advise consumers to continue to shop and enroll in a health plan, the same as they have for the last several years.
We also want to let our clients know that Health Choice One is a member of several professional associations who are at the forefront of healthcare reform. This means that if/when there is a change to the healthcare laws in our country, we will not only be among the first to be made aware, but we will be more than prepared to help you with your health insurance needs when that time comes.
We understand your concern in this time of uncertainty with health insurance but assure you that we will be here to help you navigate any coming changes, whatever they may be.
